Lots to do in the summertime!

We've done a lot the past few weeks! Clark spent a week with Grandma & Papa Metz, came home for two days, and then spent a week in Tennessee with Grandma & Papa Hastings. During the two days he was home we took Clementine to her first Indians game (Braves won!!). Clementine spent the week in Tennessee with Mom, Dad, & four AC girls in Nashville attending Impact at Lipscomb University. I'll get pictures from Cleveland & Tennessee up later - those pictures are on Dad's computer still.

Clementine is great and is now two months old! She & Clark both had check-ups yesterday. Clementine is rapidly approaching 11 pounds, and Clark weighs in at a whopping 34 pounds! He is in the 70th percentile for heighth and 80th percentile for weight. Clementine has been sleeping great through the night for several weeks now, but Clark has been waking up! He now wants the hallway light on when he goes to sleep, so if he wakes up at 2:30 and sees that we turned it off, we hear, "Light on! Light on!"

Check back soon for our Independence Day pics as well as photos from our day at the lake coming up soon! We're also anticipating a visit from Uncle Andy, so I'm sure we'll have plenty Kodak moments to share then!

Our friend Danette came in from Toledo for a weekend visit to meet the kids and relax with the Metzes. Clark loved hanging out with her, and by the end of the weekend he finally got her name right!

Clementine on July 1 - two months old! Pardon the wet chin...she loves to blow bubbles!

This is the bedtime routine - story time with Dad. Right now they're reading Shel Silverstein poems. Clark sees Shel's picture on the back of the book and says, "Oohh, scary monster!" witha shudder.

She's smiling now! She gave her first smile to Dad on his birthday!

Daddy's girl at one of the many parks within walking distance of our house.

Ruth came over for some special time with Clark before her vacation. He welcomed her into his "moon house" for a story.

There are only a few times that we take pictures of our children with the absolute intention of using the photo for embarrassment or perhaps blackmail. This was definitely one of those times. He's wearing a pair of his favorite "jamas," but they're a bit small on him now (despite the fact that they are a size 4). The attire combined with his new favorite action & catch phrase, "Oh, yeah!" while giving a thumbs up just creates an all too embarrasing yet picture perfect toddler moment.
