Clark & mom escaped the heat at the Westerville Public Library today. We'll go back tomorrow for story time, but today was just an adventure in exploration and letting Clark check out a couple of new story books to read. Posted by Picasa
How about this one? Posted by Picasa
Taking a break. All this reading and exploring is exhausting! Besides they have cool weird chairs to sit on here. Clark had to climb or sit on every piece of furniture in the children's library. He finally settled on this chair for a few minutes. Posted by Picasa
Checking out the juvenile non-fiction. It's not because he is so smart he wants to read about the works of DaVinci or how trains operate. He wanted to peruse this section because it has taller shelves than the fiction section and cool stools to climb on. Posted by Picasa
He actually posed for the camera! Clark loves his picnic table. Thanks, Grandma! Posted by Picasa
Don't waste your time blowing bubbles. It's much more entertaining to stick your tongue through these cool holes. Posted by Picasa

Good picture except for Mom's neon gum that looks like some kind of serious tooth fungus! Posted by Picasa
We're hoping for a southpaw! Posted by Picasa
Playing baseball with Dad for the first time - now that's a Kodak moment. Clark only wanted to pitch and adamantly refused to take an at bat. Posted by Picasa
It has been so hot during the day that Clark hasn't had a lot of outdoor time this week. We try to spend the evenings outside before bedtime to make up for it. He was thrilled to be out doing manly things like picking up grass and sticks on his fork lift. Posted by Picasa
The church we stayed at in Hendersonville, TN, on the way back didn't have showers, so Clark had some fun in the bathroom sink in order to freshen up. Posted by Picasa
Clark's enjoyed the life of a chartered bus - travel with freedom from the carseat - except during naptime. He had a great week in Tennessee with his grandparents, but we were happy to pick him back up in Cornersville, TN on the way back from Louisiana! Posted by Picasa

If you are looking for a place to physically serve, go to Chalmette, LA, just south of New Orleans. There is so much left to do!  Posted by Picasa
The finished project. It took us 2 days, but we finally finished one of the houses assigned to us - removed everything, including the ceiling and the drywall. The only things left were the showers, toilets, and electrical wiring. This house will be sold as is to be rebuilt by the new owner. Posted by Picasa
I can't even begin to describe the devastation of Katrina and the work that is still yet to be done in the clean-up process - nearly a year later! This is one of many scenes we encountered while gutting houses in Chalmette, LA, last week. You can't get a whiff of the odor of these homes from the pictures! Posted by Picasa
One of the more appropriate t-shirts on sale in the French Quarter tourist shops. The other t-shirt pics fell victim to censorship. Posted by Picasa
Dancing in Jackson Square last week in "Nawlins," LA, as our youth group walks away as if they don't know us. Posted by Picasa
Clark trying to go to sleep in his wagon on his way back from the Westerville fireworks extravaganza on the 4th. We're fortunate to be able to walk a few blocks to see the show and avoid traffic! Posted by Picasa
