More (non-blizzard) March Pics

Clementine is now ten months old! Don't let the spring dress she's wearing deceive you - although it is March we are still under at least a foot and a half of snow. The blizzard had just begun when those pictures of her in the dress were taken. We were just trying on her St. Patrick's Day dress and she was being such a ham that I had to get the camera out.

Every time we go to the mall play area Clark likes to pick the nose of the gorilla there. He definitely took after his Dad. In the slideshow there is also a picture of the kids under the table taken the other night as they entertained themselves as Adam & I finished eating.

Blizzard of '08

What did you do this weekend? We played in the snow - lots and lots of snow. The recorded total for Columbus was 20.4" (the last I heard). This storm broke the record for the most snow in a 24 hour period by at least 5 inches.

Clark stayed hydrated by eating snow. The drifts were so high that as he walked along he would just scoop it up without even stopping. We stuck him in the back of Adam's truck to play, and I think he ate half the snow in the bed of the truck (with our neighbor's help). Two houses down from us are some small hills that were created by moving dirt during development projects. They are the perfect size for Clark to go sledding. He calls them "The Mountains." Yesterday he sledded there, but today we took advantage of having a hill for a front yard and created our own slaloms. Even Clementine joined in on the fun after her nap. She loved the snow day fun, and the bright white background combined with her snowsuit really make her eyes pop in these pictures though it may be hard to tell in the slideshow. She was so happy, and her blue eyes just glistened.

We plan to make sure Clark gets some play time tomorrow in his igloo fortress while still managing to get back to work and our regular routine since the roads have been cleared now. Let's enjoy the snow while it lasts before it all melts and washes away later this week (hopefully without causing major flooding issues...)!
